The short version: ScryMarc Software builds local-first desktop tools. This website collects no personal data beyond cookieless, aggregate analytics, and each of our tools processes your data on your own machine.
Who we are
ScryMarc Software is operated by John Livingston in the UK. For anything about this policy, email hello@scrymarcsoftware.co.uk.
What we collect and why
- Website analytics. Our sites use Cloudflare's built-in analytics, which gives aggregate traffic figures (page views, visitor counts, country) without cookies and without tracking individual visitors. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party tracking.
- Purchases and licences. When you buy a licence, payment is taken by Stripe and your licence is issued and checked by our licensing provider, Keygen. We hold your name, email address and licence record, to issue your key and support you. We never see your card details.
- Launch notifications and support. If you email us, including to be told when a tool launches, we keep that correspondence to answer you, and for nothing else.
What we do not do
We do not track individual visitors, use advertising cookies, or sell or share your data. Our tools do not send your working data to us, and they carry no telemetry.
Our tools
- INFOtemper works on Microsoft 365 by talking only to Microsoft's own services, signed in as you. Its snapshots and audit log stay on your machine.
- licenSINGER reads your tenant, read-only, through Microsoft's own services, signed in as you. There is no ScryMarc server in the path.
- trustedMARC processes DMARC reports on your machine. Its optional location and DNS lookups can be switched off. See its privacy policy and data safety page.
- RUFreader will read DMARC forensic reports on your machine. Those reports can contain personal data, which is exactly why they are never uploaded.
- JSONstatus assembles and redacts Slack exports entirely on your machine.
Each tool checks its licence with our licensing provider. That check sends the licence key and a machine identifier, never your files, reports or tenant data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@scrymarcsoftware.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
